​Online Purchase of Food Products in Bangalore City- Preferences and Constraints

Background: Electronic commerce of food products has a very important role to play in creating consistent demand for farmers’ and linking farmers directly final consumers. The preference consumers toward online purchases is one the most drivers e-commerce industry. objective current study examine constraints purchase from consumers’ perspectives Bangalore city India. Methods: In this primary cross-section data were collected using pre-tested schedule between February May 2019 different localities including Mahadevapura, Sanjaynagar, Jayanagar, etc where shoppers located have fair demonstration socio-economic strata. Descriptive statistics along with principal component analysis adopted as research methods. Result: revealed that home delivery, wide availability ability compare prices among influencing factors convenience saving time. On other hand, perishability products, problematic return policy, limited sensory information security limitations city.
